She went the whole way and back several times: from the tips of his fingers to his wrist, dwelling longer on the palm of his hand to bask in the sun. He went on talking while she promenaded. He tried to coax her away. She knew what she was doing.
When he
described how, having transcended fear, one is ready to jump off the cliff, the
wasp flew away.
