Este texto surgió en mi grupo de escritura de los lunes (ayer) a propósito de lo que está sucediendo en eu con su nuevo presidente
y la preocupación de la maestra del grupo.
We are all Venezuelans now. We are all Mexicans now. We are all Salvadoreños now. We are all Americans now. We are all Palestinians now. We are all Brazilians and Puerto Ricans now. We are all Argentinians and Chileans now. We are all Canadians now. We are all Spanish and German and Congolese now. We are all Italian, and South African and Kenyan now. We are all Corean and Japanese and Chinese and Tibetan now. We are all Indian now. And we always should have been. Why does it take a dictator for the insight to dawn in our minds? We are all Peruvian and Bolivian now. We are all Haitianos and Cubans now. And we always should have been, but we tend to forget. Our comfort makes un forget. We are all victims and aggressors now. We are all Trump and Musk and Netanyahu now. We are all white and black and brown and red and yellow and purple now. We are all women and men and children and gay and trans now. Why do we keep forgetting? Why do we keep protecting our neck of the woods? Because we are all afraid now and we all have hope now. We all want to be happy now and we all want to transcend suffering now. We are all pariahs now and brahmans too. We are all dogs and cats and rats and bats and mosquitoes and cockroaches now. We are all hell beings and hungry ghosts and gods and demigods now. We are all animals now and we are all humans now. And we keep forgetting. And we want to point fingers and find someone to blame. We are all to blame now. We are all responsible now. We are all resisting now. Some have been doing it since beginningless time. We are all good and bad now, and right and wrong. We are all afraid now and we are all courageous now. Me is we upside down and we includes everybody, every sentient being. If not, what's the fucking point? We are all we now. We are all Venezuelans now and we have been forever. We are much more that we think we are, even those whom we don't like, those whom we despise, those whom we consider enemies. We are all enemies now and we are all friends now. We are all mothers and fathers and children and serial killers. We are the moon and the sun and the earthquake and the storm. We are the ocean and the waves and the rain and the lightning and the flood and the snow and the blizzard and the hail and the stroke. We are all old and young and beyond time. We are all Venezuelans now. We are all Mexicans now. We are all Canadians now. We are all British and Scottish and Irish and Danish and Norwegian now. We are all patients now and we are all doctors now and murderers and judges and nurses and teachers. We are all Venezuelans now. No borders. No differences. No limits. No labels. Beyond labels, we are all one. So hard to see. So hard to feel.
y una compañera me dio unas gracias adicionales por correo.
y yo le dije que había dudado en leerlo, pero que me daba gusto haberlo hecho.
